Also, it offers opportunities, via membership in IASPAW, for Artists, Photographers, Musicians, and Writers to display their creative work on this website.
IASPAW
International Association of Self-Proclaimed Artists and Writers
IASPAW was formed on Friday, June 22, 2007, on a clear, sunny day in McLean, Virginia.
MISSION
Provide recognition to Self-proclaimed Artists and Writers, exposure for their talent, artistic renderings, and writings, which are largely unrecognized and unknown to the public. Provide inspiration for them to continue in their creative endeavors.
The association was founded on the premise that many talented artists and writers go unrecognized and unappreciated for their creative contribution to society, and thus, need a venue for artistic exposure in order to continue their creative contributions. This is the venue and this credential comes from within, from one's feeling of creative self-worth. With support from a communion of fellow artists and writers, in the same circumstance, this association can collectively foster a renaissance of artistic expression through self-proclamation worldwide.
VISION
Have all aspiring Artists and Writers declare themselves openly and freely through membership in IASPAW.
VALUES
Recognize and support the artistic spirit of Self-Proclaimed Artists and Writers in their quest for creative expression.
DUES
* $10.00 (U.S. dollars or equivalent foreign currency) per year to assist in fostering one's continuous self-proclamation in the artistic and written arenas, and includes:
* web-delivered Proclamation of Membership;
* additional $10.00 per year to have a printed Proclamation of membership, in standard size, with founder's original signature, sent to you via mail or courier service.
Multiple year memberships are also available.
All dues collected will defray the cost of establishing an IASPAW website, development of content to further the goals of the association, and support exhibitions and readings by IASPAW members.
PRIVILEGES
* Proclamation of Membership, delivered on the web, print-ready for Color Laserjet or Inkjet printer, but just as handsome when printed in Black and White.
* Customize your Proclamation of Membership to fit your frame size.
* Renewal Proclamations of Membership will be issued, upon receipt of your annual self-proclamation and payment of applicable membership dues.
* Your given name, pseudonym, or nom de plume listed on the official IASPAW Scroll that will be posted on the Worldwide Web, with your state/province, and country.
* Use of the IASPAW designation, upon receipt of valid Proclamation of membership.
* Your creative works will be displayed online, at the sole discretion of the Curator and Editor, Cecelia TaBois.
* Opportunities to exhibit artwork and hold readings onsite at the TaBois-Bonhomme Galerie d'Art in McLean,Virginia may become available in the future.
