On January 29, 2012, the Chinese community of the greater Washington metropolitan area is going to celebrate the "Chinese Lunar New Year 4710" in Washington, DC, Chinatown - 6th & I St. NW www.chineseparadedc.com/route.html
The Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association, an umbrella organization representing thirty Chinese-American organizations throughout the Greater Washington area, will host the event.  Over 40,000 are expected in attendance, and the parade will also be televised nationwide.

Asian Pacific American Bar Association (AEF) Educational Fund
19th Annual AEF Benefit Dinner
National Press Club
Washington, D.C.

The AEF will host is Annual Benefit Dinner on Thursday, March 8th to raise funds for its fellowships and grant programs to allow law students to accept summer jobs serving the public interest in the Washington, DC area, or with organizations benefiting the Asian Pacific American community nationwide.    

For the fourth year, I will have artwork on display for your viewing and purchasing pleasure to support this worthwhile endeavor. AEF is a not-for-profit organization established by the Asian pacific American Bar Association of the Greater Washingtom, DC Area, Inc. in 1993 to engage exclusively in charitable and educational activites. April 13-14, Dance Legends will be in NYC, so please finish your taxes early and join our favorite dancers, Todd and Migle, at the event! Every dancer who performs in the event is a World Champion or World Finalist. Todd will be traveling there for the Saturday night show, and Migle will be there for the Friday and Saturday night shows. Late Spring through early Summer, I will be writing my first book (a non-fiction). Stay tuned for details.

Meanwhile, R. A. Comunale will be putting the finishing touches on his new novels for release this year--last year, he released Clover, another great read. Dr. Comunale is certainly McLean's most prolific author and a master storyteller, but you will just have to wait until we can tell you more. McLean's most prolific author, R. A. In early October, when the leaves start their golden transformation, the annual MPAartfest will be held in McLean, with artists and art fun--mark your calendars.

Finally, we will close 2012 on a high note: TaBois Galerie will re-open its doors at the Regency at McLean, on a more intimate level--it will be cosy, the place to see unique and stunning artwork, listen to music, converse, and it will be within walking distance from the first stop on the metro's new Silver line that opens the following year! The stars will be in alignment when we announce our onsite exhibition.
